The well landscaped 100 acre campus site includes 3 "B" listed buildings, several new buildings and well hidden multi-storey car parking.  The spacious main building has 6 business houses and the executive house built around a 270 metre internal street with live trees and retail facilities.  Gogar House has been refurbished as a restaurant, with a leisure centre built next to it, and the stables have been converted to a nursery.  The new conference centre has excellent facilities for 350 delegated and there is an on-campus residential business school incorporating the restored Gogar Park House and a new building.

History teacher and local historian Bruce Jamieson gave a short talk on "Place Names of Linlithgow" to members.  Bruce's talk was most interesting and entertaining and his presentation was much appreciated.  The Planning Spokesman, Ron Smith gave members an update on the situation regarding the Inquiry currently underway into the West Lothian Local Plan.

Sunday 11 June 2006 at 3:00 pm - Visit to Peebles
We met in the Tontine Hotel in Peebles High Street for tea/coffee and met members of the Peebles Civic Society, who took us on a walkabout in the town. Following our tour we returned to the Tontine Hotel for high tea before travelling home.
Saturday 6 May 2006 at 7:00pm - Evening Cruise on the Union Canal
Members of the Trust were treated to an evening cruise on the Union Canal on board St Magdalene piloted by John Aitken with the help of Barbara Braithwaite. A welcome buffet was started after passing Preston Road. This allowed plenty of time for the puddings on the way back from the Avon Aqueduct!
Saturday 8th April 2006 at 7:15 pm - AGM
The AGM was held in the former Abercorn School, now the offices of the A9 Partnership. We are grateful to Roy Alexander and his staff for allowing us to hold the event there. Chris Long was elected chairman, replacing Ron Smith. The formal meeting was followed by a buffet supper with wine and a decorated cake to celebrate 35 years of the Trust.
Monday 13th March 2006 - LCT Winter Lecture
Unfortunately our speaker, Trevor Croft, former Director of The National Trust for Scotland and now an Inquiry Reporter for the Scottish Executive was unable to attend for pressing personal reasons. At short notice Karen Heywood stood in and delivered an excellent talk about the planning appeal system. She gave an explanation of likely changes under the new planning bill recently published. The time of this talk was very opportune, given that the Civic Trust has recently commented on the new West Lothian Local Plan and will be represented at the proposed Inquiry to be held later this year.
Tuesday 14th February 2006 - the 2006 Annet Lecture
This year's Annet Lecture, which is organised by Linlithgow Heritage Trust, was given by Dr David Caldwell from the Royal Museum of Scotland. His subject covered 'Discovering Robinson Crusoe'. In his interesting talk, David told about his voyage to the South Atlantic in search of the island where Alexander Selkirk was shipwrecked.
