Saturday 27th October - Book Launch in Linlithgow Library
"Street Names of Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge" by Bruce Jamieson was launched on 27th October as part of Celebrate Linlithgow.  This publication is the third, significantly expanded and improved edition of this interesting booklet.  Bruce signed copies of the publication and gave an interesting insight into the history of the street names of the town.
The book is now available from local outlets at a price of £4.50.
Sunday 14th October - Visit to Rosslyn Chapel
Members enjoyed an excellent visit to the fascinating Rosslyn Chapel. Thanks are due to Shirley Smith for arranging the visit.
Sun 9 Sept  - Guided walking tour of Perth
The walking tour of Perth, ably led by Rhoda Fothergill and Marjory Howatt, two members of the Perth Civic Trust, started with an interesting review of some of the older headstones in Greyfriars Cemetery and then toured the site of the medieval city, ending up at the Fair Maid's House and the Town Mill.  It was followed by an excellent high tea at  the the New County Hotel. Sunday 24th June, 6:30 pm - Evening Cruise on The Union Canal
We cruised eastwards along the Union Canal on board St Magdalene to Fawn’s Park, with LCT member John Aitken as skipper.  Chris & Jean Long produced an excellent buffet supper which was complimented by wine.  In spite of weather - which was not at all summery - members had a very enjoyable evening.
Sunday 3rd June - Guided Tour of North Berwick
27 Trust members enjoyed this interesting and entertaining tour, which was led by Bruce Jamieson who is a native of North Berwick.  It was followed by an enjoyable two course bistro meal at '21 Quality Street'.
Saturday 28th April - 7:15 pm  in Carriden House, Bo'ness - Linlithgow Civic Trust AGM
This year’s AGM was held in Carriden House, Bo’ness, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Blackbourn. In addition to allowing us to use their home, Mr and Mrs Blackbourn gave a short talk on the history of the building.
Tuesday 8th and Thursday 17th May 2007 at 7:00 pm - Visits to the Edinburgh Airport Control Tower
We arranged two evening visits, each from 7- 9pm. The visits were limited to 12 persons for each visit.
Monday 19th March 2007 - LCT Winter Lecture
Our own 2007 winter lecture was given by Alan Muirden of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland. Alan's topic was “Recording your heritage online: education and outreach”. He described the rôle or RCAHMS and showed us some interesting local examples from their extensive archive of photographs, drawings and data. We hope that LCT and RCAHMS can share resources in the future.
Tuesday 6th February 2007- Annet Lecture
This year's Annet Lecture was held at the Low Port Primary School in Linlithgow and was, as usual, a joint meeting with Linlithgow Heritage Trust. This year marks the 700th anniversary of the death of King Edward 1st of England, known as the 'Hammer of the Scots'. To mark this anniversary Chris Tabraham, Principal Historian with Historic Scotland, enthused about the life and expeditions of King Edward and the Scottish Wars. He illustrated this talk with maps of Edward's expeditions, photographs of numerous of his castles and gave a fascinating explanation of the defences in the area around the present site of Linlithgow Palace.
