A VISION FOR LINLITHGOW 2005 - 2015

LCT's alternative to the FINALISED WEST LOTHIAN LOCAL PLAN 2005

The West Lothian Local Plan will set the development context for the foreseeable future - it is essential for the future wellbeing of Linlithgow that the correct decisions are taken.

In response to the recent publication of the finalised West Lothian Local plan, the LCT Executive Committee has prepared an alternative development strategy for the town entitled "A Vision for Linlithgow".  A draft of this plan has been posted to all LCT Members.  It is hoped to include downloadable version here but printed copies can currently be obtained from the Secretary (see below).

Prior to submitting this plan to the council, the LCT Executive Committee would welcome receipt of observations and comments, whether supportive or not.  If you would like to comment then please send your views in writing (by mail or e-mail) before Tuesday 22 November 2005 to:

Mr Chris Long, Secretary LCT,
14 Friars Way
Linlithgow EH49 6AX
e-mail: secretary@lct.org.uk

Following this consultation period there will be a special Members' Evening on Tuesday 29th November 2005 at 7:30 in the Adam Room, Cross House at which members of the Executive Committee will lead a discussion on the contents and implications of the "Vision for Linlithgow".

If endorsed by the LCT Membership, the finalised document will be submitted to West Lothian Council as the main substance of a formal objection to the West Lothian Local Plan, with a view to this submission being given further consideration at any future Public Enquiry.
